Purpose
This Schedule defines the scope of the Company's voluntary commercial warranty. The exact warranty duration applicable to a product shall be stated in the quotation, invoice, product specification or warranty record.
Warranty Period: To be confirmed before publication
Covered conditions
Subject to the applicable transaction and technical assessment, the commercial warranty may cover qualifying:
- manufacturing defects;
- fabrication defects;
- workmanship defects;
- failure of Company-supplied components within the stated warranty scope; and
- installation-workmanship defects where installation was supplied by the Company within window period.
Remedy
The Company determines the technically appropriate corrective remedy. Remedy may include adjustment, repair, local correction, component replacement, affected-area refinishing or another technically appropriate measure.
Commercial warranty does not give the customer the unilateral right to choose replacement, complete dismantling, complete reinstallation, complete refinishing, redesign, relocation or refund.
Exclusions
Commercial warranty does not cover conditions attributable to:
- normal wear;
- impact;
- misuse;
- overloading;
- post-delivery scratching or denting;
- dragging or improper movement;
- water/seepage/flooding;
- excessive moisture or corrosive environment;
- improper chemicals or cleaning;
- active construction or renovation;
- weak/uneven walls or floors;
- customer-supplied inaccurate measurements;
- customer modification;
- unauthorised repair;
- relocation or dismantling;
- third-party intervention; or
- failure to follow applicable use or maintenance instructions.
Unauthorised Intervention Rule
Products are to be structurally serviced, dismantled, modified, repaired, refinished or reinstalled only by the Company or a person expressly authorised by the Company for the relevant work.
Unauthorised third-party work may invalidate commercial warranty coverage for the affected product, component, assembly or condition where it changes the supplied state, contributes to the issue, affects safety or integrity, interferes with prior Company work, or prevents reliable diagnosis.
Inspection
The Company may require photographs/video, remote assessment or physical inspection before accepting commercial-warranty coverage.
Warranty does not constitute maintenance
The commercial warranty does not include routine maintenance, relocation, reinstallation following renovation, aesthetic refresh, periodic refinishing, accessories, upgrades or customer-requested configuration changes.
Third-Party Components, Hardware And Accessories
Products supplied by the Company may incorporate components, hardware, accessories, fittings or materials manufactured or supplied by independent third-party brands or manufacturers.
Such items may include, without limitation, locks, locking systems, handles, hinges, channels, drawer systems, runners, mirrors, glass, lights, electrical components, electronic accessories, modular accessories, branded fittings and other bought-out or consumable components.
Unless expressly covered by a separate written Company warranty, the manufacturer’s or supplier’s warranty applicable to such third-party component shall govern defects, replacement, repair and warranty duration relating to that component.
The Company’s commercial warranty shall not be interpreted as extending or increasing the warranty period, scope or obligations provided by the original manufacturer or supplier of a third-party component.
Where applicable, the Company may facilitate identification, inspection, warranty coordination or replacement of a qualifying third-party component in accordance with the terms and availability of the relevant manufacturer or supplier warranty.
Consumable items and components subject to ordinary wear, depletion or periodic replacement are excluded from the Company’s commercial warranty unless expressly stated otherwise in the applicable quotation, invoice or Warranty Schedule.
The incorporation, supply or installation of a third-party component by the Company does not convert the manufacturer’s product warranty into a separate or extended Company-manufactured-component warranty.
Company workmanship relating to the installation or fitting of such component shall, where applicable, continue to be assessed separately under the Company’s applicable workmanship and After-Sales Service Policy.
